By Liv Williamsburg is a 1930’s era speakeasy turned boutique, operating as both Liv’s sewing studio and a retail storefront stocking the work of independent local designers alongside Liv’s one of one creations. At By Liv we believe in giving new life to vintage textiles, supporting local sustainable designers, and creating heirloom garments that our customers will wear forever, even offering on the spot alterations and lifetime repairs. The patternless nature of Liv's design process means that every piece is truly one of a kind, with new arrivals created on site each day. We strive to curate a unique shopping experience in which our clients can experience Liv’s work by seeing, touching, and most importantly hearing the stories behind each material that went into the creation of each unique garment, which is why we've elected to take a step away from ecommerce and do business exclusively in person moving forward.
