By Liv is a sustainable one of a kind clothing brand and shoppable studio storefront based in Brooklyn, NY.

At her brick and mortar shop, Liv stocks the work of 40+ independent sustainable designers from her community alongside her own one of one creations hand sewn in our on site studio by Liv herself.

Due to Liv’s patternless process and use of antique textiles, each garment is truly one of a kind and cannot be replicated. Liv takes a full lifecycle approach when hand making each piece, ensuring that every material used down to the thread is recycled. Materials range from handkerchiefs and doilies to drapes and bed linens, each piece having lived many lives with some dating back as far as the start of the 19th century. Liv hopes that these sage textiles continue to live full lives after being carefully crafted into garments, and are passed down, bearing witness to life’s illustrious moments for years to come.
